Stadium Laundry and Dry Cleaners was built from the ground up in 1971 by Richard “Dick” Schell and has been an essential operation in the Kalamazoo community since the doors first opened. When the land for the laundromat was first acquired, the closest place to get a cup of coffee was a 15-minute drive away! In the early 70’s Dick had a vision, and over the next few decades he acquired more real estate on the strip and eventually became one of the leaders of the overall development of the Stadium Drive area. With this in perspective, its crazy to think about what Stadium Drive would look like today if Dick’s vision was never acted on.

Fast forward 50+ years and Stadium Laundry and Dry Cleaners (now owned and operated by Dick’s son, Rick Schell) has established itself as a cornerstone for laundry services in the Kalamazoo area. Rick continues to reinvest into the business. In the last 3 years, over 40 brand new washing machines have been installed – and it doesn’t stop there. In 2023 Rick purchased a brand-new state of the art Dry Cleaning machine, which has since made our dry-cleaning process 100% environmentally friendly.

Our dedication to building longstanding relationships with the Kalamazoo community has created a loyal and satisfied customer base that continues to expand. Stadium Laundry and Dry Cleaners has partnered with a variety of businesses, foundations, schools, etc., including a partnership with the Kalamazoo Growlers, making us their official uniform detailer of the 2024 baseball season! Stadium Laundry is dedicated to keep Kalamazoo clean.
